Consenter enables reliable, informed consent in the digital world. The Consent Agent clearly explains what data websites would like to collect and for which specific purposes it is processed. For each individual purpose, potential benefits and risks are presented in a transparent and easy-to-understand way. This allows you to make informed decisions about which processing activities you agree to and which you do not.

You make the decision. Consenter ensures that your choice is technically implemented and respected. Your privacy preferences are automatically communicated whenever you visit a supported website. You can review and change your decisions at any time.

If a website accepts your preferences, no cookie banner will appear. If it does not respect your choice, Consenter hides the banner and prevents the processing of personal data that you have not agreed to. This allows you to browse with greater transparency, fewer interruptions, and more control over your data.

The Consenter Agent was developed through an interdisciplinary research process and is officially recognized under Section 26 TDDDG by the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BfDI). This recognition confirms that the service meets the legal requirements for a recognized consent management service and can be used as a trustworthy tool for managing consent.

The extension was designed to protect your privacy, not to monitor your browsing behaviour. It does not record clicks, keystrokes, mouse movements, or form entries. It does not create advertising profiles, analyse browsing behaviour across websites, or sell user data. The permissions listed in the Firefox Store are required solely so that Consenter can detect supported cookie banners, automatically apply your privacy preferences, and hide unsupported banners. Consenter does not maintain a record of the websites you visit and does not use this information for advertising, tracking, or profiling.

To communicate your privacy preferences, Consenter interacts with supported cookie banners and consent management platforms (CMPs). Only the information required to manage your consent settings is processed. Anonymous usage statistics are optional and can be disabled at any time.

Revenue is generated exclusively by website operators who use our privacy-compliant cookie banner. The Consent Agent remains completely free of charge for users.
